The next edition of Monday Night RAW will see a highly anticipated championship bout that the fans have been longing to see for weeks now. Following the events that transpired on tonight’s show, the match has now been made official.

Main Event Jey Uso will have the opportunity to win his first singles WWE title when he goes one-on-one against the record-breaking WWE Intercontinental champion, GUNTHER.

Jey stepped up to the Ring General during his celebration as the 600-day reigning champion on RAW last week, potentially hinting to be the next opponent that can dethrone him for the prestigious workhorse title.

This week on RAW, Jey Uso joined forces with New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to combat GUNTHER and his Imperium Cohorts, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci in a six-man tag team match.

Uso and The New Day were able to knock off the dominant trio, with Main Event Jey connecting with a huge splash from the top rope on Vinci to pick up the win. Later in the night, as the trio celebrated their win, WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelly announced that Jey vs GUNTHER for the IC title has indeed been made official for next week’s RAW.
