Although she hasn’t featured heavily on AEW Dynamite, Red Velvet has been picking up wins consistently on AEW Rampage and Collision.

Ever since her debut in the company, she has proven herself to be a top young prospect who could perhaps carry the women’s division forward. It now looks like Red Velvet is now looking for the chance to do that.

Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Red Velvet is set to go one-on-one with Toni Storm in an AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Match. If Velvet wins, then she will earn herself a future title shot. To make matters worse for the champ, her rival Deonna Purrazzo will be on commentary during the match.

Despite being the massive underdog in this match, Red Velvet brought the fight to Toni Storm. However, Storm proved that he was the superior competitor as she locked in the ankle making Red Velvet tap out. After the match, Deonna Purrazzo got in the ring and came face-to-face with the AEW Women’s World Champion.
