AEW has seen a lot of changes and development over the course of five years, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t willing to hire more people to help in the long run, especially in the production side of things. Now it appears a legendary referee claimed his name came up in AEW production meetings.

Legendary referee and ECW legend Bill Alfonso discussed the potential of working for AEW on Rob Van Dam’s podcast. He shared that his name had come up in AEW production meetings, recalling an encounter with QT Marshall, who worked for Tony Khan.

Bill Alfonso noted that his name came up on two different occasions during AEW production meetings, as he made it clear he is open to working with the company in the future.

“I was on a show about four or five months ago,” Alfonso said. “A guy came up to me. His name was QT Marshall and he worked for Tony Khan. He was like in the office. He said, ‘Hey, my name is QT Marshall. Your name came up in a production meeting.’ I said, ‘Oh, great. What do I do?’ He said, ‘Just hold on’ so I held on. I saw him like two or three months later, he said, ‘Hey Fonzi. Your name came up again in another production meeting.’ That’s two times. So if you want to drop my name and Tony Khan and see what’s going on, I don’t mind.”
