STARDOM officially announced the termination of the contract of Rossy Ogawa, one of the co-founders of the promotion, alongside Nanae Takahashi. While the pro wrestling world was shocked, AEW President Tony Khan had an entirely different reaction.

The startling announcement of the termination of Rossy Ogawa’s contract was made by the parent company on Sunday night. Bushiroad, the parent company, pointed to Ogawa’s alleged actions of “poaching many STARDOM players and staff” as the main reason for his dismissal.

AEW President Tony Khan took to his Twitter to respond to Ogawa’s departure, tweeting, “Bye Rossy” along with a GIF featuring Larry David. Khan followed up with another GIF, captioned, “It’s a clear case of industrial espionage.” He also included a GIF from The Sopranos, which said, ”The feds had an undercover agent in Dr. Schreck’s office.”

Rumors have suggested that Rossy Ogawa was the reason why AEW couldn’t form a working relationship with STARDOM. It was also rumored that Ogawa was secretly poaching STARDOM talent to WWE, such as the likes of Kairi Sane and others.

Rossy Ogawa’s departure from STARDOM could lead to mass exit of talent from the promotion soon as well. Nonetheless, only time will tell whether AEW and STARDOM will end up having a proper relationship, now that Rossy Ogawa is gone.
