Mercedes Mone has been regarded as one of the most controversial and talked about stars in the wrestling business. While she recuperates from her ankle injury and is ready to make a comeback, she was spotted with a current WWE star, possibly gearing up for her return.

The CEO of women’s wrestling took to her Instagram to post a series of stories about training with the current WWE Women’s champion, IYO Sky at the Flatback Wrestling School. The duo can be seen going against each other inside the squared circle and posting a selfie following the session.

Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks made an impressive mark during her time in WWE. However, she famously walked out of the company in May 2022 and did not return to the wrestling scene until January 2023 in NJPW.

Following a brief stint in Japan, she injured her ankle in May 2023 and has been on the sidelines ever since. While it has been evident that all top promotions are eyeing to sign the former WWE Women’s champion, reports indicate that Tony Khan’s AEW would be the landscape that would sign Mercedes Mone.

However, with Mercedes being spotted in a training session with WWE’s current champion, things would be interesting to see if she indeed is AEW bound or if WWE still could see the return of The Blue Print to their women’s division.
