WWE legend The Rock was conspicuously absent from the weekend’s Royal Rumble event. The former WWE Champion was among the favorites to win the men’s Royal Rumble match, with rumors swirling about a match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

The Great One was recently appointed as member of the board of directors by TKO, and had a tough first few days on the job after recent allegations forced the resignation of Vince McMahon from his roles in the company.

However, this hasn’t stopped The Rock from continuing with his activities outside the business. While he is constantly busy with his movie roles, the Hollywood star has still found time to appear in other sporting ventures in the United States.

PWInsider have reported that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been announced as being The Grand Marshall for NASCAR’s Dayton 500 race, one of the biggest races of the year.

The event will air on February 18, 2024 on FOX at 2:30 PM, just ten days before the WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 in Perth, Australia.

This is not the first time a WWE Superstar has appeared at the Daytona 500. Former WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair appeared as an honorary race official at last season’s event, adding to the WWE’s presence at NASCAR.
