Matt Riddle was released from WWE in September, and he is already finding his way through the pro wrestling scene afterward. That being said, he still has plenty of stories about his time in WWE.

A virtual signing hosted by Signed By Superstars provided a platform for Matt Riddle to dive into his career during the two-hour session. He had a lot to say, and the Original Bro was quite unfiltered.

During the course of the discussion, Matt Riddle disclosed that he was initially slated to win the 2022 men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. That being said, plans changed, because Vince McMahon was a big fan of Austin Theory.

“Wanna hear something else cool? I was supposed to win Money in the Bank but Vince (McMahon) really likes Austin Theory and literally hours before, they changed it and Austin was added in and threw me off the ladder. After I took two huge ladder bumps off the RKO and everything else and it’s like… But, I love Austin Theory and I’m happy for him. Keep killing it bro.”

During MLW Kings of Colosseum over the weekend, Matt Riddle marked his return to in-ring action. That was the first time in the ring since his release from WWE in September. This comeback also extends to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he openly challenged World TV Champion and company President Hiroshi Tanahashi.

We will keep our eye on Matt Riddle, just in case if says anything else newsworthy. Odds are, he has a lot more stories to tell, and he’s not in a position to hold anything back at this point.
