Butch found himself without a tag team partner when Ridge Holland walked out on him during the November 24th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. In need of a partner for the following week, Butch debuted a new teammate in Tyler Bate. The duo won the match, bringing an end to Butch’s unfortunate 6-month streak.

During the January 5th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Butch needed a partner against Pretty Deadly and turned to his long-time friend Tyler Bate for assistance. The duo shares a history dating back to their time together in the United Kingdom and both hold the distinction of being former NXT WWE United Kingdom Champions.

Bate and Butch secured a victory over Elton Prince and Kit Wilson, signifying a notable moment for both wrestlers. While it marked a significant win for Tyler Bate, it was especially noteworthy for Butch.

This triumph represented Butch’s first win on an episode of SmackDown since June 30, when he emerged victorious in a three-way match against LA Knight and Santos Escobar.
