WWE has a lot of options on the table, and The Rock’s return during the 1/1 Day 1 RAW kicked everything up a notch. Now, the big question is where he will show up next.
Although WrestleMania rumors for The Rock are now rampant, it doesn’t seem that we are any closer to making that match official. After all, The Rock has only thrown out a jab to Roman Reigns at this point, one where he proposed that he sit at the head of the table.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that The Rock may agree to wrestle in Saudi Arabia instead. The pressure against working in the controversial Kingdom is no longer as thick in Hollywood, and if the money is there then The Rock may just agree to do it.
“I would lean toward that [The Rock wants to do WrestleMania], but, I mean, if Saudi Arabia offers an incredible amount of money. I don’t know, it feels like going there is not a big deal anymore, you know, when it was, it was in his best interest not to go for the political reasons, but I don’t know if that is a factor in Hollywood anymore, I don’t know. There’s a lot of money in that, pure money.”
The idea of headlining WrestleMania is still a very important notch in anyone’s belt. The Rock may want that match, but it could also call for some bold booking decisions as well. Only time will tell where the chips land, but The Rock seems closer to an in-ring return than he did on December 31st, 2023.
We will have to see what The Rock does next. Roman Reigns didn’t seem shaken up by The Rock’s words. If anything, the Tribal Chief only caused more chaos on the 1/5 New Year’s Revolution SmackDown.
