Samoa Joe won the AEW World Title from MJF at AEW Worlds End. That was a big night for him, but there are no shortage of challengers in the land of All Elite.

AEW Revolution will take place on March 3rd, 2024, at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, marking AEW’s first PPV to be held in North Carolina. It will also be Sting’s last match, and so much more, including a likely huge AEW World Title match.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that it appears Samoa Joe will defend his AEW World Title against Swerve Strickland at Revolution in March.

“It looks like Joe and Swerve is the main event for Revolution, if not sooner. All they talked about was Swerve going for the championship. March is two months away, they got plenty of time. Joe, that’s the only one they built up for Joe. I mean, I guess they could do Joe and Wardlow. Anyways, I think Swerve is going to be in that title program mix. It’s going to take time for Swerve to be a ratings draw.”

Swerve Strickland has been on a roll in recent memory. His entrance is one of the best in AEW as Prince Nana leads him to the ring. Now, it appears that AEW Revolution may be a huge night for the Mogul Embassy.

Samoa Joe has a lot of momentum behind him as the new AEW World Champion. He also does not intend on making his title run a short one. Only time will tell if Swerve Strickland walks out of AEW Revolution with the title anyway.
