WWE Schedules Special Meeting Before January 1st Day 1 RAW

Today marks significant day for WWE as they initiate the new year with a special Day 1-themed episode of Raw at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, CA. The company has a lot going on, and a meeting is scheduled to address that.

The upcoming show boasts segments that will gain viewership, with Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley taking on Ivy Nile. A clash between Becky Lynch and Nia Jax is going on, and the World Heavyweight Championship is on the line as Seth Rollins defends against Drew McIntyre.

This episode also holds historical significance as it signifies the first instance where Kevin Dunn no longer influences the TV production of the flagship show after his departure from the company.

Dave Meltzer revealed on X that the company has a meeting scheduled with the media team, and talent is also on the agenda for this afternoon. No doubt, this will revolve around Kevin Dunn’s exit.

“Nick Khan and Paul Levesque have a meeting Noon in San Diego with the media team and at 12:30 p.m Pacific with the talent. This may be related to Kevin Dunn leaving, who was gone as of midnight last night.”

We will have to see what happens with WWE’s internal structure. Kevin Dunn’s departure from the company will certainly leave some holes in the company’s internal workings.

WWE may have people in mind to fill Kevin Dunn’s role. They need to figure something out this week, because the January 1st episode of WWE RAW will be historic as the first live WWE RAW without Kevin Dunn’s direct involvement.
