Killer Khan was a renowned WWE icon, known for his epic battles against legendary figures like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant. Unfortunately, we have sad news to report as he has passed away at the age of 76.

Masashi Ozawa, famously recognized by his ring name Killer Khan, succumbed to health complications around 10 pm on Saturday. Reports from local Japanese media indicate that he was urgently taken to the hospital due to a ruptured artery. The former wrestler collapsed at the counter of his Tokyo-based restaurant, Jinjo Sakaba, where the tragic incident took place.

A native of Niigata Prefecture, Ozawa entered the professional wrestling scene in 1971, where he faced off against iconic WWE figures like Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan, maintaining a friendship with Hogan outside the ring.

In addition to his wrestling career, Ozawa showcased versatility by venturing into the music industry in 2005, making his debut as a singer with the track “Furusato Makaka,” translating to ‘Japan Crown.’

Following his retirement, he delved into the restaurant business, establishing Izakaya Kanchan in Shinjuku. Unfortunately, the establishment had to shut down in 2021 due to the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
