Dominik Mysterio shocked fans when he turned heel by attacking his father Rey Mysterio last year. Dominik truly came into his own as heel afterwards, as fans truly despise him now. Dominik even attacked his father on Thanksgiving after that. Mysterio and Rhea Ripley decided to cause chaos at Rey Mysterio’s place on Christmas Eve last year, but it ended with Dominik getting arrested. Now, WWE looks back on the incident during its 1-year anniversary.

Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley wanted to ruin Rey Mysterio’s holiday spirits on Christmas Eve last year. However, Mysterio called the police and had his son arrested, while Rhea Ripley got slapped by Dominik’s mother.

The incident turned into a fiasco, leading to a viral video and the emergence of the “My mom hit Mami” meme. The Judgment Day members were just beginning their journey, and the viral video sparked significant attention, serving as the catalyst for the creation of the Prison Dominik character.

WWE wanted to make sure that fans remember that iconic moment as they posted the video again on the 1-year anniversary since it happened. Needless to say, fans loved watching it again.

Dominik Mysterio is set to square off against CM Punk next week as part of the latter’s in-ring return after decade. It remains to be seen how Mysterio will fare in the upcoming matches.
