Vince McMahon was the Chairman of WWE for several years and ruled the company with an iron fist. That all ended abruptly earlier last year after he was accused of a hush money scandal. RVD also revealed when he stopped keeping in contact with the former WWE Chairman.

It was eventually revealed that McMahon paid $12 million in hush money to several women over the two decades. That was the last straw for McMahon, as his career in WWE was over at this point. An additional $5 million of unrecorded expenses were linked to Vince McMahon as well.

Vince McMahon temporarily retired and returned to WWE at the beginning of this year and eventually helped finalize WWE and UFC’s merger. Now, he doesn’t have as much power as he once had.

While speaking on Marty Jannetty’s “Party with Marty” podcast, RVD talked about the last time he spoke to Vince McMahon. RVD stated that he hadn’t spoken to McMahon since the scandal last year, adding that Kevin Nash told him McMahon changed his phone number.

“Once this thing happened with Vince and the scandal, I heard from Kevin Nash actually but it wasn’t firsthand. I heard him say that Vince changed his number. I tried his number and got nothing. I haven’t talked to him since then.”

WWE is also disregarding a religious rule from Vince McMahon. That said, Vince McMahon also has no intention of parting ways with WWE anytime soon. We’ll have to see how WWE will continue to grow without his influence.
