The Hardys are going to assert their demand for respect, no matter what. They’ve worked hard for decades, and they’re the GOATS in the way they see it. Matt Hardy, while targeting an early Christmas present in the upcoming December 22nd episode of AEW Rampage against The Kingdom, demands respect in the process.

Ahead of the match against The Kingdom, Matt Hardy expressed his thoughts on social media. He shared a promo focused on the match, and the caption he picked was rather heated ads well.

The Hardys posed with a question about what changes are necessary for success in the new year. Matt’s response was clear, because to him, he must make 2024 the pinnacle of their careers.

It’s time to make all this kids that grew up idolizing us starting saying our name with reverence. The disrespect will no longer be tolerated. We’re #LivingLegends, we’re the Tag Team GOATs, we’re The F*cking Hardys!

We’ll beat RESPECT into you tonight on #AEWRampage, Kingdom.

Matt Hardy made sure to emphasize that it’s time for the generation that idolized them as kids to start uttering their names with reverence. We will have to see if they earn that respect, or they’ll have to beat it out of The Kingdom.

According to Matt Hardy, the era of tolerating disrespect towards them as living legends and tag team GOATs is over. Now, they must secure victory and claim the AEW World Tag Team Championship whenever that time comes.

Only time will tell if that situation with the AEW Tag Team Titles rolls around sooner than later. Ricky Starks and Big Bill have no current challengers after Kenny Omega was taken out of action, and there has been no announcement about a replacement partner for Christ Jericho.
