Matt Hardy is a true veteran in the pro wrestling business, having constantly reinvented himself over the years. Due to his extensive knowledge of the pro wrestling world, his opinion is taken seriously all the time. Hardy recently admitted he was frustrated about his position in AEW and now Hardy decided to clear the air about those comments.

Matt Hardy made his shocking debut in AEW back in March 2020 and immediately started a feud with Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle. In the years since, Hardy has undergone several character changes.

He is currently teaming up with his brother Jeff Hardy, but they have failed to win the AEW World Tag team Championships so far. Unfortunately, the Hardys haven’t really been able to accomplish much except engage in forgettable feuds in the past several months.

Due to this, Matt Hardy admitted that he was frustrated with his current position in AEW, adding that his brother Jeff Hardy felt the same. While speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy addressed his recent comments about booking frustrations in AEW, admitting that they were all legitimate.

That was the real, genuine Matt Hardy. That was the real, authentic Jeff Hardy, speaking from the heart, speaking very honestly, speaking very truthfully. Creatively, just the way we’ve been utilized, like, the last four months, it’s been very frustrating. We’ve been very patient but there has been a lot of frustration [with] the things we’ve done and how we’ve been utilized in some ways.”

As previously reported, The Hardys also missed last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite for good reason. Apparently Jeff had issues getting into Canada because of his criminal history, as Matt explained on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast.

”No Matt at Dynamite tonight, and the reason being, it is in Canada, and my brother still has issues getting into Canada right now, and since Jeff wasn’t gonna be there, then I wasn’t going to be needed to be there.”

While Matt and Jeff Hardy have faced creative frustrations in recent months, their passion for the sport remains unwavering. As fans, we can only hope that AEW recognizes their incredible potential and offers them a platform to showcase their talents once more.
