Jim Ross is a WWE Hall of Famer and was the voice of several generations of fans, as he gave decades of his life to the business. Good ol’ JR has been with AEW since day one and finally returned to Dynamite this week. Now, Ross revealed that he doubts he can appear at Worlds End on December 30th.
It was previously reported that Jim Ross’ contract would be expiring soon. That is why Ross and Tony Khan started negotiations for possible contract renewal. Ross then made it clear he is optimistic about re-signing with the company.
It was then made clear Jim Ross would be on hiatus due to his health issues and he has been giving updates on his health since then. Thankfully, Jim Ross would finally return on AEW Dynamite this week in Oklahoma City, as he called the action in the ring for the main event.
While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross talked about his return to AEW Dynamite following his hiatus. Good ol’ JR then noted that it is doubtful he can call any of the action at AEW Worlds End.
I think it’s doubtful, but I don’t know. That’s entirely up to Tony. We haven’t discussed it and going to Long Island in December when I haven’t had a trip that long in a while is not something I would relish. However, if called upon, I will come play and I will play as best I can. So, I don’t know. I’m not being evasive. I’d like to say, ‘Yeah, I’m going to be there. Buy the pay-per-view,’ but I don’t know. You should still buy the pay-per-view.”
We will have to wait and see whether Jim Ross will be able to call the cation at AEW Worlds End. After all, fans were ecstatic to see Jim Ross back on the commentary desk again and would love to see him commentate at AEW Worlds End.
