LA Knight has achieved a lot in WWE so far, and he is coming off of a record-setting 2023 for himself. Now, he is set to receive a much more personal honor at home.

The Moco Show reports that LA Knight is set to be honored with a key to the City of Hagerstown, MD, as announced by the city on Wednesday.

Before adopting the persona of LA Knight, a prominent figure in today’s professional wrestling scene, Shaun Ricker was a local resident in Hagerstown, Maryland. Graduating from North Hagerstown High School in 2000, he was actively involved in the school’s band and track activities. However, his childhood dream was always centered around becoming a professional wrestler. Recently, he competed for the WWE Universal Championship in Saudi Arabia.

The City of Hagerstown expressed its intent to recognize one of its own on December 23 at noon at University Plaza. Born in Hagerstown on November 1st, 1982, and a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, Shaun Ricker, now globally recognized as “LA Knight,” will be presented with the key to the city.
