LA Knight made a significant impression after his debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021. Coming straight off a solid run in Impact Wrestling, fans wanted him to succeed in WWE. After his Max Dupri run finally ended, he returned as LA Knight. Now he has revealed how he managed to resurrect that character in the first place.

The former NXT Superstar has organically gotten over with fans due to his ability to connect with the audience, which is mostly because of his remarkable work on the microphone.

LA Knight was called up to the main roster last year as part of The Maximum Male Models, where he was repackaged as Max Dupri. Many fans felt that the character did an injustice to LA Knight. Thankfully, he left the group and returned to being LA Knight.

While speaking to Inside The Ropes, LA Knight revealed that after Triple H took over as head of WWE Creative, Knight sent him a screenshot of his name trending on Twitter, stating that there might be something to the character.

”I don’t know what anybody’s plans were as far as that was concerned but I definitely tried to plant the seeds with that here and there, when I could. I know that once it was said that Hunter was in charge of Creative in July 2022, LA Knight started trending on Twitter, which kind of shocked me, but I took a screenshot of that and sent it to him and I was just like ‘Maybe there’s something to this.’ Now whether that actually affected anything or not, I don’t know. But the moment it was presented to me, my reaction was ‘F yeah, please! Let’s go.”

LA Knight was unable to defeat Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel last month, but he has been regularly featured on WWE television in a feud with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. We’ll have to see what the future holds for LA Knight, as fans want him to find success one way or the other.
