AEW signed up a lot of former WWE Superstars over the years. They inked a deal with Andrade in rapid fashion after his WWE departure, but what’s next for him?

AEW has Andrade El Idolo under contract, and that brings up a big question about when that deal is over. He hasn’t been used a ton, and some reports have hinted that he’s less than enthused about his current spot on Tony Khan’s roster.

During a Q&A behind Fightful’s paywall, Sean Sapp was asked about Andrade’s deal with AEW, and when it expires. He said that 2024 is still the date, but the former NXT Champion may have some time added due to injury.

“The claim was 2024, but there was likely to be injury time added. I don’t know if that is still the case. I think that might be adjusted.”

AEW has added time to talent’s contracts in the past if they miss a lot of dates due to injury. Andrade certainly missed a lot of time from AEW. It will be interesting to see how Tony Khan handles this situation.
