In a significant announcement, WWE has made the decision to discontinue its DVD and Blu-ray releases in the UK, marking the end of an era for collectors and fans. This decision comes under WWE’s license with Fremantle Media, leaving wrestling fans with a bittersweet farewell.

Fremantle Media shared the news with fans, stating that no licensing deals will be renewed after 2023. The very last WWE Home Video release from Fremantle will be ‘CROWN JEWEL 2023’ (2 disc-DVD) on December 18th (UK) and December 22nd (GER).

WWE Home Video has played a significant role in wrestling history, releasing VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray content for 36 years, with the last 11 years under the partnership with Fremantle in Europe. Unfortunately, this chapter will come to a close on December 31st, with no further WWE DVD or Blu-ray stock to be manufactured.

The WWE Home Video UK team expressed their gratitude to collectors and fans for their unwavering support and passion over the years. While physical releases may be ending, the WWE legacy lives on through other mediums, providing fans with continued excitement and entertainment.
