CM Punk made his return to WWE, and that was shocking moment nobody saw coming. Survivor Series certainly ended on a high note, but not everyone was thrilled to see him come back. After years of controversy surrounding his name, there are some who still believe they could take Punk in a fight.
Former WWE Tag Team Champion, Rene Dupree, has expressed confidence in his ability to defeat CM Punk if they were to square off in the main event of WrestleMania. CM Punk, who is known as the Best in the World, has not yet returned to in-ring competition. It appears that Dupree is game to take him on.
In a recent episode of his Cafe de Rene podcast, a fan posed a question to the former Tag Team Champion, inquiring about the possibility of him headlining WrestleMania against CM Punk. Rene Dupree provided an intriguing response, although it was a short one.
“I would beat his f*cking brains in.”
WWE reportedly has some plans for CM Punk’s first feud, and it could results in some epic confrontations. Ringside News also exclusively reported that he will be on the RAW brand, but you can never say never about a SmackDown drop-in, as many Superstars have jumped brands in the past for a variety of reasons.
As of this writing, CM Punk has not responded to Rene Dupree at all. He may just ignore this threat from the former Tag Team Champion, because he really does have a lot of things on his plate right now.
