Damage CTRL is riding high right now with a ton of momentum as they go into WarGames at Survivor Series on November 25th. They will face Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Shotzi in that big match, but a new tease could hint at someone else joining Bayley’s stable in the process.

Mercedes Mone and Trinity Fatu left WWE in May 2022 due to creative differences, ultimately being granted their releases a few months later. With that move, Sasha Banks and Naomi were no more, but they were off to new adventures outside WWE.

Mercedes Mone moved to NJPW while Trinity Fatu joined Impact Wrestling. Although Mone is currently recovering from an injury and remains under contract with NJPW, there is speculation about her possible return to WWE. Then again, AEW is also a part of the conversation.

That WWE rumor was further fueled by a throwback photo posted by Bayley on her Instagram story. In that photo is Kairi Sane, Asuka, and Mercedes Mone. Only one of those women aren’t in Damage CTROL right now, but the caption Bayley dropped might lead some to believe that there are things in the works.

I’ve always got a plan.”

Bayley certainly sparked discussions among fans. Mone and Bayley had notable matches both against and alongside each other during their time in WWE, even holding the Women’s Tag Team Titles together.

It’s important to note that there have been no official reports confirming her return, and a return at Survivor Series seems improbable given her recent NJPW contract renewal before her injury.

This is an interesting time for Damage CTRL, as Bayley is seemingly losing control of the stable. They are also going in a new direction, one that Bayley is going along for the ride with. That being said, you can never count out a massive surprise along the way.
