The Miz is a celebrated and accomplished WWE Superstar, who has established a permanent place in the company’s history. He was part of a terrific segment concerning John Cena on RAW a couple of months ago and now he has finally disclosed the process behind the whole segment and how it even happened.

During the September 4 episode of Monday Night RAW, The Miz introduced John Cena as his guest on a MizTV segment despite him not being advertised to appear on the show.

WWE’s production and The Miz took the whole thing seriously, with Miz even hitting the Skull Crushing Finale on the non-existent John Cena. While speaking with TNT Sports, The Miz disclosed how the whole segment even took place, right down to the ideas he discussed with the writers.

“I got told by one of the writers, they were like, ‘Yeah, you’re going to interview John Cena.’ And I go, ‘He’s not on RAW, like he’s not there.’ And they go, ‘Exactly.’ And I go, ‘Invisible John Cena? This is the best!’

So, we were sitting there writing it and we were like ‘alright, how do we make this absolutely incredible?’ And I was like, ‘I got to hit him with a Skull Crushing Finale,’ you know, but you can’t just hit him, you got to play it a little bit, right, like he’s there. The way the audience reacted to it was so perfect and it helped so much.”

Even Pat McAfee previously stated that The Miz deserved an award for the segment. The Miz is set to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event on November 25th. It remains to be seen how The Miz will prevail in the match.
