AEW presented a big show at Full Gear, and the Kia Forum saw quite an event. MJF retained the AEW World Title in the main event against Jay White, but apparently Swtichblade isn’t happy about things.

In the end, MJF and Jay While’s match at AEW Full Gear was the lowest rated main event match in AEW pay-per-view history. It seems that Jay White may not have been too thrill by how things turned out, either.

Wade Keller reported on Pro Wrestling Torch that Jay White wasn’t thrilled by how Tony Khan booked his AEW World Title program, or the match against MJF. He had a lot of experience getting over in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but that feud with MJF didn’t elevate him at all.

Jay White wasn’t thrilled, based on what I’ve been told, how things went with the build and the match against MJF, so he might be motivated to shine in this tournament. He’s still among the top choices for Tony Khan to build around as a top-top star in his company for years to come. A win here, with a series of standout matches, would elevate him in the AEW universe closer to how his New Japan fans viewed him.

AEW is onto their next big angle, whoever is behind that Devil mask, but Jay White isn’t in the World Title picture anymore. Samoa Joe stepped up, and he cashed in a favor from MJF, because he helped The Salt of the Earth retain the ROH Tag Team Titles at Full Gear.

We will have to see what is next for Jay White. He carried the AEW World Title for a month, but he never won it. Now, Tony Khan needs to do something, so White can really get over in AEW.
