Rumors Swirl as WWE Considers NXT Call-Ups for Explosive Main Roster Story

WWE has a lot of plans in the pipeline, and they want to make big Superstars out of as many members of the roster that they can. Now, one recent NXT call-up is in line for a big angle.

The LWO was shattered thanks to Santos Escobar, as he turned heel on Rey Mysterio. The two are expected to head-up new groups and battle against each other. Now, it appears that Dragon Lee is in the mix somewhere.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE has big plans for Dragon Lee. There are currently plans for Mysterio to vouch for Dragon Lee as the next big masked Superstar, possibly similar to what he did in NXT during their program.

It was also noted that WWE is talking about bringing up Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo as part of this new LWO angle. Their names have also come up in the past.

“Yes, Santos might end up with Los Lotharios. That was one of the ideas for them to join Santos. Actually, originally, before the Rey and Santos thing, there was talk of Los Lotharios joining with Rey, too. Los Lotharios, that has definitely been in conversations, yes.”

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo have main roster experience, and there was a time when it appeared that both of them would get pushes. Then the real-life cousins joined NXT and have been rehabbing their characters ever since with matching claw-mark chest tattoos. Only time will tell what is next for them, but they both have a ton of untapped potential.

The LWO is going through an interesting time. At this point, the very name of the faction may be in flux, if they carry on with their planned group vs group booking.
