Ronda Rousey left WWE, and there were many fans who wondered if her pro wrestling days were over. She proved that was not correct to assume as she made a big surprise appearance during the ROH television taping this week.

Ronda Rousey unexpectedly made her ROH debut, teaming up with Marina Shafir. The two Four Horsewomen members participated in a tag-team match against ROH Women’s Champion Athena and Billie Starkz, which was the same match Rousey had at the Wrestling REVOLVER: UNREAL event the previous Thursday.

There is a lot going on, and many people have questions on the matter. After all, Ronda Rousey is a huge name to appear for ROH.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall to report that there is a hope that Ronda Rousey’s appearance on ROH will help bring subscribers to their platform. It hasn’t been noted how many subscribers Honor Club has, but they could certainly use more.

Rousey wrestled at Thursday night’s Wrestling REVOLVER show, teaming with her best friend Marina Shafir against AEW/ROH talent Athena and Billie Starkz in a match that went to a no contest. On Friday night, Rousey reappeared, this time in ROH, running the same match back for an upcoming HonorClub match.

The hope is that Rousey can generate some subscriptions, but as of Friday night, Rousey had not signed with AEW/ROH. Rousey was on a handshake deal with AEW. We’re told that the bookings she’s done for ROH, REVOLVER and Lucha Vavoom of late have pretty well been because she wanted to work with Shafir. Before leaving WWE, Rousey teamed with and faced longtime friend Shayna Baszler.

It was also noted that Ronda Rousey was never considered to be the Full Gear signing revealed tonight. We will have to see what happens in that story.
