The Undertaker had chance to wrestle some of the greatest to have ever stepped in the ring. He never had a chance to work with Andre the Giant, even though the big man apparently had plans for that to happen.

The Undertaker had a career spanning over three decades in professional wrestling, had the privilege of stepping into the ring with numerous iconic opponents, including legends like Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, among a host of others. His wrestling journey has been marked by memorable encounters and legendary rivalries that have solidified his status as one of the all-time greats in the industry.

Despite his storied career and numerous high-profile battles, The Undertaker has often expressed a lingering wish for an opportunity that eluded him—the chance to face off against the colossal figure of Andre The Giant. This dream match, a clash between two wrestling legends from different eras, has remained a topic of intrigue among fans and within the wrestling community.

While speaking to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda for short chat, Undertaker brought up this idea again, but also revealed that Andre The Giant had an idea for an angle between the two.

“The match that I’d wish I had that I never got the opportunity to is with Andre [The Giant]. That was always a dream of mine. Andre’s health was really — when I got here, his health was already in decline with his back and his knees and everything. It was crazy, Tim White and I discussed it many times — It’s funny. Andre told me early on, ‘Kid, one day, me and you.’ He had an idea, he had an angle that he wanted to do with me. Andre didn’t like big guys, but he loved me for the little amount of time we got to spend together and he wanted to do business with me. His health was just at a point where we couldn’t do it.”

The Undertaker’s desire to test his skills against Andre The Giant’s unparalleled size and strength continues to be a testament to his unwavering passion for the sport and his reverence for the legends who came before him. Sadly, that never happened.

We’ll never know how that storyline would have ended, but odds are it would be something that fans are still talking about to this day. For more stories like this, and so much more, please stay with us here at Ringside News.
