Ric Flair is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, and he’s done a lot in his career. Now, the Nature Boy is with AEW, and the real question remains about whether he will wrestle for Tony Khan’s company.

Ric Flair has bled buckets all over the country for years, but his days in a crimson mask are over. At this point, he will show up to cash a paycheck, but he’s not doing the daily grind in the pro wrestling world anymore.

While speaking with WrestleZone, Ric Flair joked that while he doesn’t plan on wrestling, he will definitely be ready to take bumps and even more ready to bleed at any point in this journey if need be.

“I don’t expect to wrestle. Could I? Yes, because I’ll learn from my mistakes. You always learn from past mistakes. I don’t think that’ll ever happen, but I certainly want to be able to feed a guy if I’ve helped get heat on them because it’s only fair to the babyface, or the good guy rather, that he gets a shot at the guy. That’s how they prevail. They beat the villain, and then they have to smack someone around that’s been associated with them. I am cleared for that. Even if I wasn’t, I’m feeding. That’s the way it works.”

“By the way, I’ll have a blade on my finger, brother. So you can pass that along. I don’t go to work without a blade. [laughs] I’ll take an aspirin so I really bleed.”

Ric Flair went on to say that he could be a manager in AEW. He can still bring heat to matches, but don’t expect to see him actually work any matches.

“I just feel very strongly and this is a point you can emphasize — I think if you are in a managerial role, and you are put in a position of getting heat on somebody, which even after Steve retires, and they keep me along, I would love to do that. I think it’s very important if you’re going to help get the heat, then you gotta be able to get knocked down. There’s no better answer to the question than that.”

AEW surprised a lot of fans when Ric Flair showed up. He was presented as a big gift from Tony Khan to Sting. Obviously, this was a big surprise for The Icon as The Nature Boy came to AEW to see him.

Only time will tell what is next for Ric Flair. He could get involved in many stories with Tony Khan’s company. They will have to make things work, but Ric Flair seems down to have some fun with AEW.
