WWE has a lot of things in the pipeline, and there are more big-money deals to announce as well. Now, we are looking into 2024, and there could be some notable changes on the way.

It was previously reported that the idea is out there that WWE may start running premium live events on Fridays. This may result in a lower viewership, but that isn’t as much of a concern anymore.

Dave Meltzer went on to say on Wrestling Observer Radio that Peacock has a much different way of looking at WWE’s premium live event numbers. The live viewership is not important at all when compared to how many fans tune in during those first 24 hours.

“The thing is, it’s a different pay-per-view concept now. Peacock only cares about the 24-hour viewership. They don’t care about live viewership. So, their feeling is whenever they run it, they can make money. That’s why they have no problem running morning pay-per-views in Australia and Saudi Arabia. They have far less viewers live, but they’ve done it, and they know that fans will watch later, so that’s a completely different ball game.”

“That’s one of the things WWE told me is that they don’t even look at the live number. Peacock is not interested in the live number, they want the first 24 hours, that’s the number they want.”

There are a lot of options in the future for WWE as they carry on. In the end, Peacock is calling some of those big shots, and they seem to be very okay with hosting WWE premium live events, no matter when they air live.

Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News, because anything could change at a moment’s notice at this point. 2024 will be a very interesting year, but it’s anyone’s guess if it will hold a candle to how everything went down in 2023.
