Sabu is a former ECW World Champion and ECW Tag Team Champion and became one of the biggest names in the world of hardcore wrestling. He had a brief run in AEW earlier this year, including an appearance at Double or Nothing. In fact, Sabu admitted he was upset with the table spot at the event, adding that he wanted a leg drop instead.

The go-home edition of AEW Dynamite before Double Or Nothing was a memorable show as it included Sabu making his shocking debut. He was also involved at Double or Nothing, where Sabu performed a dive off the top rope and onto Matt Menard and Angelo Parker, who were lying on a table on the outside.

While speaking to Title Match Network, Sabu explained why he was upset with the spot, which was because it was not what he originally wanted to do. Sabu revealed that he wanted to perform a leg drop instead.

”To tell you the truth, I was unhappy with it because it wasn’t the spot I wanted to do. I wanted the guys to be head-to-head, feet out laying across the table, but they were laying on top of each other. I wanted to do a leg drop to both of them through the table. When I got up there, they’re laying on top of each other. I said, ‘F***.’ If I do a leg drop, I’ll probably flip over on them and flip off. So, I just did a splash. It got over, but I wasn’t happy with it. My manger, lawyer, agent, Josh, just said, ‘Do a splash’ before I went out there. I said, ‘No, a splash is too easy,’ and I ended up doing a splash [laughs]. I was like, ‘I have to do something better than that, but they were set up wrong.”

Sabu made it clear that he doesn’t rule out wrestling again if the price is right. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Sabu will make his in-ring return somewhere down the line, as he has an interesting last match in mind.
