Sabu Offers an Intriguing Idea for His Last Wrestling Match

Sabu is a former ECW World Champion and ECW Tag Team Champion and became one of the biggest names in the world of hardcore wrestling, being immortalized in the annals of pro wrestling history. That said, he is simply not as young as he used to be and can’t compete at the same level anymore. Even then, it appears he pitched an interesting idea for his final match.

Sabu sacrificed his body for pro wrestling throughout his entire career. He was known as the suicidal, homicidal, and genocidal maniac for a reason. Being 58 years old, his body simply cannot take any abuse anymore.

It doesn’t help that Sabu had a medical emergency and had to be rushed to the hospital earlier this year. In addition to that, Sabu previously stated that he can’t stand up straight anymore due to broken back.

While speaking to Title Match Network, Sabu was asked about RVD’s appearances in AEW. Sabu then pitched an idea to get the FTW Title and drop it to HOOK in his final match.

“I thought it was awesome. I thought it was awesome. Would have been better if he came out with me. He came out, and he had a surprise, and it ended with all of us. I wanted him to win the FTW belt, give it to me, and then in my final match, I lose it back to HOOK. I didn’t say it to nobody, that’s just my thought. I like HOOK, he’s a good guy, a good kid, very respectful. Needs to gain some weight, of course, and experience, but I think he has a good future. It would be my pleasure to help him.”

Sabu made it clear that he doesn’t rule out wrestling again if the price is right. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Sabu will make his in-ring return somewhere down the line, as a match with HOOK could still happen.
