The world of professional wrestling is unpredictable in a lot of ways, as there is always the risk of permanent injury or more when a wrestler steps inside the squared circle. Unfortunately, we have sad news to report as Canadian wrestler Rob Page passed away recently after suffering a cardiac arrest at an indie show.

According to Slam Wrestling, Canadian independent wrestler Rob Thomson(Rob Page) tragically passed away at the age of 41 on November 4. Thomson suffered a cardiac arrest backstage during a wrestling show.

After taking part in a fundraising event in Hamilton, Ontario, Thomson returned to the backstage area. An individual familiar with the situation told Slam Wrestling that Thomson went into cardiac arrest upon his return to the dressing room. Fellow wrestlers administered CPR until medical professionals arrived, but unfortunately, it was too late as Thomson could not be saved.

Thomson had been actively involved in wrestling since 2012, wrestling in various promotions across Canada. Notably, he portrayed Hawk in the cinematic scenes of the Dark Side of the Ring episode dedicated to The Road Warriors (Road Warrior Animal & Road Warrior Hawk). The independent promotion Courage Pro also took to Twitter and sent their condolences to Thomson’s family and loved ones after his unfortunate passing.
