GUNTHER is WWE Intercontinental Champion, and his reign shows no signs of slowing down. That being said, the leader of Imperium wasn’t booked for WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. There is a very good reason for that.

GUNTHER is working for WWE under a visa, and the red tape around that documentation has its drawbacks. It seems they are keeping the Ring General in the USA.

While speaking to Krone, GUNTHER revealed to the German publication that he is not allowed to leave the United States for the next six months, due to visa rules he currently has. In theory, this would be solved by April or May, but if it was extended it would be a problem for Bash in Berlin.

That being said, it appears that Elimination Chamber is off for GUNTHER, because that February event in Australia is well outside the United States. This also played into why GUNTHER isn’t booked for Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

We will keep an eye on this story, because there will likely be a lot more to unpack when everything is said and done. GUNTHER will continue his reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion, but he will do so in the United States only for the next six months.
