Ric Flair Doesn’t Believe There’s Resentment in WWE Over His AEW Move

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair’s contributions to the world of professional wrestling cannot be understated. That said, he parted ways with WWE a while ago and fans wondered if he would ever go to a major pro wrestling promotion ever again. He would end up joining AEW last week and now Flair made it clear that he doubts anyone in WWE begrudges him for joining AEW.

Ric Flair previously made it clear that he doubted he would be returning to WWE in the foreseeable future. That became more clear after he debuted on AEW Dynamite last week, shocking fans all over the world.

While speaking to Variety, Ric Flair addressed any possible bad blood between WWE and himself following his AEW debut. Flair made it clear that he doubts anyone in WWE begrudges him for joining AEW.

“I don’t think anybody at WWE begrudges me. I’ve earned their respect and I respect them. I haven’t heard one negative word from anybody over there, because I think they feel I’ve earned the right to go out and do what I want to do.”

Ric Flair also signed multi-year deal with AEW, so he will be sticking with the company for the long run. It remains to be seen how The Nature Boy will continue to be utilized in the coming months.
