WWE’s NXT brand is getting a brand-new focus, and their stories are compelling as well. Many are on the edge of their seats to discover who was behind Trick Williams’ attack on NXT this week, but the company isn’t letting that information out know internally.

On this week’s WWE NXT episode, Trick Williams faced an unexpected opportunity. He was set to compete in a match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship. However, just before the match, Trick was assaulted backstage, preventing him from participating in the bout.

Carmelo Hayes emerged victorious in the contest, despite arriving a bit late at the scene of Trick’s attack. This earned him a title shot against Ilja Dragunov at Halloween Havoc Night Two on October 30th. The episode concluded without revealing the identity of the attacker, leaving fans to speculate about the culprit throughout the week.

Bodyslam.net reports that the identity of Trick Williams’ attacker is being kept very close to the vest. That being said, the secret should be revealed in time.

“Since Tuesday night’s show, we have been asking around with NXT sources about the attack and if there was any indication on the identity of Trick’s attacker. We were told from multiple sources that WWE are looking to keep the attacker’s identity close to the vest, with very few people in the know about the storyline across the brand.”

We will have to see who ends up revealing themselves as Trick Williams’ attacker. That backstage assault kept Trick from a very important match, and odds are he will not be happy when he discovers who was behind that.

We will keep a close eye on this story, and so much more, right here at Ringside News. In the meantime, Trick Williams’ storyline will continue as fans wait for an eventual push to a much higher position on the WWE roster.
