AEW, known for its electrifying wrestling action and passionate fanbase, has been facing bit of a challenge in recent times when it comes to filling up venues for their television tapings.

The latest disappointment comes from this week’s AEW Collision, which also doubled as Battle of the Belts. WrestleTix reported the ticket numbers, and unfortunately, AEW couldn’t bring in the expected crowd. The figures reveal that only 2,933 tickets were distributed for the event, held at the FedExForum in Memphis, TN.

The FedExForum boasts a recorded capacity of 19,000, and when you crunch the numbers, it becomes apparent that AEW was only able to fill a mere 15.44% of the venue. This represents a significant gap between the potential audience and the actual turnout.

AEW has been booking large venues for its events, and while the ambition is admirable, it’s essential to ensure that these seats don’t remain empty. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it will be interesting to see if Tony Khan and the AEW team adjust their strategy to better match their venue sizes with their attendance figures.
