Recently, Baker addressed lingering misconceptions about her involvement in NXT, WWE’s developmental brand. Before her tenure with AEW, Britt Baker had an extensive history on the independent circuit, an important chapter in her wrestling career.
A curious fan on Twitter stumbled upon an old video featuring Britt Baker facing off against Shayna Baszler, which ended up being a rather one-sided affair. The fan expressed surprise, unaware that Baker had been part of NXT. Britt Baker swiftly responded, setting the record straight by clarifying that she had never been a part of NXT and was, in fact, brought in as local talent for an enhancement match.
“I was never in NXT. I was local talent used for an enhancement match,” Baker clarified.
Currently, Britt Baker is on brief hiatus from AEW television, dedicating her time to tending to her boyfriend, Adam Cole, who is recovering from an ankle injury. Fans eagerly await her return to AEW programming, as her absence is keenly felt by the AEW faithful who look forward to her eventual comeback.
