AEW has a few stars who haven’t been seen in a while, and sometimes their absence are caused by different reasons. It’s been a while since Serena Deeb was spotted backstage in the company, but that changed this week.

Serena Deeb reportedly had heat backstage in AEW before she vanished. She reportedly complained about having time cut from her matches, and a few other things. AEW didn’t comment on her status, but she is around this week for some reason.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Serena Deeb was around backstage at AEW this week. This is the first time she’s been seen for a while. She was actually backstage at the Collision taping on October 13th.

After nearly a full year away, we’re told that former NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb was backstage at the AEW Collision tapings on Saturday, October 13.”

Those that we’ve spoken to say they haven’t seen Serena backstage at all this year, and the area isn’t anywhere near where she would have just been visiting.”

One year ago, Serena Deeb’s last match took place against Hollyhood Haley J on AEW Dark in Cincinnati. Following that, she had not been featured on AEW television, been involved in creative decisions, or been present backstage. However, she recently made a surprising return, showing up at the Cauliflower Alley Club event.

Serena Deeb’s absence from AEW was attributed to two distinct factors. It was reported that there was a substantial disagreement with AEW management last year. Additionally, the outlet noted that she informed several individuals that she had been sidelined due to a significant injury this year.

We will have to see what Serena Deeb is able to do from this point on. She may be able to get things back on track. As of this writing, we have not heard that she is backstage at Dynamite this week, but she was around for Collision.
