FTR lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships to Ricky Starks and Big Bill during Collision last week. This was a bit of a shock, and it didn’t take long for people to report that Cash Wheeler was injured. Then that story changed eventually. Now we have a bit more clarity.

Sean Sapp cleared up a story that’s been going around about Cash Wheeler. He is not injured, although they played it off like that. It was apparently something that Dax Harwood pushed to have as part of their creative.

“For those asking, Dax Harwood did in fact push to creative for the finish of the FTR vs. Big Bill and Ricky Starks match to happen the way it was. Cash Wheeler is nursing injured ribs, but we’ve not been told if he’ll miss any time.”

We will have to see how long FTR stay out of action, because they may continue paying out this injury storyline. Hopefully, this kind of thing doesn’t become a regular thing in AEW, because they don’t need faking injuries all the time on their television shows.

FTR were once covered in gold, but that changes over a several-month stretch of time. It appears that Cash Wheeler isn’t really injured as some suspected, so at least that’s good news.
