Brian Pillman Jr signed with WWE after he allowed his AEW contract to expire. Everyone knows Pillman Jr’s story, thanks to his legendary father. His new name on NXT will draw from that history as well.

We previously reported that NXT is giving Brian Pillman Jr new name. This week on NXT, Pillman Jr revealed his new name is Lexis King, and he had a lot to say.

Lexis King stated that he never knew his real father, Brian Pillman. He then revealed that his new name is actually the man who raised him, whose last name was King. This was quite a heel promo, as he seemed to distance himself in a big way from the family lineage that many fans would link him with.

This new name would make a bit of sense. It was noted that Lexis would be short for Alexis, Brian Pillman’s half-sister who tragically passed away in a car accident. Also, King is the last name of Brian Pillman Jr’s mother, Melanie. It seems to add up, so we will have to see what happens.

We will have to see when Lexis King makes his in-ring debut for NXT. This week’s episode saw him break silence, and he did so in a big way.
