Chris Jericho has been part of the professional wrestling world for well over three decades now. He has already seen a ton of success in AEW, being an AEW World Champion as well as an ROH World Champion. That said, there seem to be a few scrapped plans for his reign as the ROH World Champion.

Chris Jericho eventually became the ROH World Champion when he beat Claudio Castagnoli last year. Jericho then proceeded to become a fighting champion, defending it regularly on AEW television. He would eventually drop the title back to Castagnoli.

While speaking at K & S WrestleFest signing, former ROH World Champion PCO revealed that he was initially supposed to challenge Chris Jericho during his title reign. However, it didn’t happen due to a staph infection in his elbow.

“The match I was supposed to have with (Chris) Jericho but, I couldn’t do it because I had a staph infection in my elbow. That never came through. I was really, really pumped for that match. ROH Title in Chicago.

Chris Jericho is also set to square off against Powerhouse Hobbs on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have to wait and see how the match will turn out as fans are excited for it.
