Santana sustained a knee injury during an episode of Dynamite in June of last year and finally returned last month on AEW television. He was also supposed to have a segment on AEW Collision this week but it got abruptly scrapped. Now it appears Santana seems to be upset after the segment was canned.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Collision, after a confrontation between Andrade El Idolo and Jay White, commentator Kevin Kelly was preparing himself to introduce a Santana segment.

However, after mentioning Santana, Kelly paused for a long time and suddenly switched things up to introduce a Kota Ibushi/Kenny Omega video package instead. The show had a last-minute overrun, so a timing issue was definitely apparent.

Santana took to Twitter after the conclusion of AEW Collision and seemingly made it clear that he was upset at his segment getting nixed all of a sudden. Fans were also upset over his exclusion from the show.

Wow.

Ok.

I got you.

It is likely his segment got cut due to timing issues, but it certainly couldn’t have been a good experience or Santana. We will have to wait and see whether AEW will give him a proper segment soon.

What do you think of AEW suddenly scrapping Santana’s segment? Do you believe he deserves better? Let us know in the comments!
