Becky Lynch Wins WWE NXT Women’s Title

Becky Lynch surprised a lot of fans when she showed up in NXT. This was followed by challenging Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Title, and the match was soon set for the September 12th episode of NXT.

This week’s main event of NXT saw Becky Lynch take Tiffany Stratton to the limit. This included Stratton kicking out of everything that The Man could throw at her for a while.

The fans were chanting “NXT” during the match, after they chanted “Welcome Back” to Becky Lynch when the contest started. In the end, this match took place all around the ring, which include a spot where Becky Lynch landed a leg drop on the announce table.

During the finish of the big match, Tiffany Stratton missed her moonsault, and Becky Lynch nailed the Manhandle Slam to win the NXT Women’s Title.

Becky Lynch has done a lot in her career. She main evented WrestleMania, and she topped WWE merchandise charts. She never won the NXT Women’s Title until tonight. So, this was a big win for her career. Only time will tell what’s next for her, as NXT No Mercy is coming up on September 30th, at the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California.

WWE has been placing a lot more focus on NXT in recent memory. This called for a few main roster Superstars making their way to the developmental brand. Dominik Mysterio is currently reigning as NXT North American Champion, and many other main roster Superstars have appeared in other roles for the brand.
