WWE and FOX were in the middle of talks to keep SmackDown on their network, but it seems that things might not be going so well. Their window for exclusive talks ran out, and now we have a sign that FOX might be moving on from WWE.

FOX’s Out of Character podcast was a nice place for WWE Superstars to sit down and interview Ryan Satin, mostly via video call. That show brought a few headlines over the years, but now it is coming to an end.

PW Insider notes that FOX is cancelling their Out of Character podcast. This is a likely sign that talks are past the point where FOX is now cutting WWE ties.

FOX is shutting down their “Out of Character” WWE podcast, which certainly would lead some to believe that means the WWE-FOX relationship is starting to wind down.  It was the only ancillary FOX-WWE programming in recent months beyond random one hour weekend afternoon TV specials, none of which appear to be on the horizon.

We will have to see where WWE lands next, because someone is going to want RAW and SmackDown. There are also a lot of contenders, and some of them have a lot of money. WWE is always open for business as well.

The big question is whether WWE SmackDown will land on a streaming service, or another television channel. We will have to see what the future holds, as WWE continues on past their big Endeavor merger.
