CM Punk was fired from AEW, and everyone has their own opinion about that situation. All Elite Wrestling has no off-season, and they are looking forward to the future.
During the media conference after AEW All Out, Adam Cole was asked about how the AEW locker room is doing after CM Punk’s release. Although Cole did not directly address the part about Punk’s release, he did provide insight on the locker room’s morale.
“As far as the vibe, the excitement that we’ve had over the past few weeks for these events have not gone unnoticed by anyone. Again, All In happening, Wembley Stadium, breaking pro wrestling attendance numbers. This weekend with All Out, knowing we had to follow it up with a huge event, the locker room was stoked. The locker room was ready to go. They were ready to put on the best show we possibly could.”
“We are also thinking about the future. We’ve made big strides, and this company hasn’t been around for very long, so we’re thinking about the next year, two years, five years, ten years, as everyone’s so pumped and ready to go. So, the locker room is feeling good, man.”
We will have to see if locker room morale picks up after CM Punk’s release. There were some mixed emotions about that firing in the Collision locker room. Adam Cole seems very excited about the future.
CM Punk’s release from AEW rocked the pro wrestling world, and it’s easy to see why AEW fans might miss him. Either way, the company is moving on from his chaos, as they turn a new chapter in the company’s history.
