Finn Balor Officially Becomes Grand Slam Champion After WWE Payback Title Win

Finn Balor is a former 2-time NXT Champion and had one of the best runs in NXT during his times there. However, neither of his main roster runs proved to be memorable at all. That said, Balor and Damian Priest won the Undisputed Tag Team Titles at Payback and now it appears he officially became a Grand Slam champion after his win.

The Judgment Day is comprised of Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Together, they have been wreaking havoc in WWE. That said, there have been tensions between Balor and Priest as of late.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest challenged Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles at the Payback Premium Live Event. It was truly a physical match that featured Kevin Owens getting busted open.

Despite Owens and Zayn’s best efforts, it was Balor and Priest who would win the match and become the new champions. WWE’s official Instagram account announced that Balor is now a Grand Slam champion, being the 17th Grand Slam winner under its current format.

We will have to wait and see how WWE will book Finn Balor and Damian Priest as the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, as fans are finally glad Balor managed to pick up a win and became a champion after so long.
