Saraya is hailed as pioneer for women’s pro wrestling, as she accomplished a lot in WWE during her time there. Her life has been full of numerous ups and downs, but she has always persevered. Now it appears she wasn’t even allowed to acknowledge her family until ‘Fighting with My Family’ was released.

For those who don’t remember, 2019’s ‘Fighting with My Family’ centered around Saraya’s journey in WWE, focusing on her time in WWE NXT. It culminated with her remarkable triumph in winning the Divas Championship on an episode of Raw following WrestleMania 30.

The production of ‘Fighting with My Family’ involved WWE Studios and Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, with Johnson himself appearing as his renowned persona, alongside a talented cast including Stephen Merchant, Nick Frost, and Vince Vaughn.

Saraya’s family made an appearance at AEW All in as well, as she would go on to win the AEW Women’s Championship. While speaking at the AEW All In media scrum, Saraya talked about the emotional moment of having her family with her at AEW All In. Saraya then revealed that she wasn’t even allowed to acknowledge her family until ‘Fighting with My Family’ was released.

“They were never given the opportunity in the past to be showcased. They were never acknowledged, and I wasn’t allowed to acknowledge them until the movie came out, and then I was allowed to. Tony didn’t even question it. He was like, ‘let’s f****** go, yeah. We can have your family.’ They appreciated it so much. My dad was so emotional. My dad is not a crier, he’s very rough around the edges kind of guy. Missing teeth because of all the fighting back in the day. He was crying his eyes out in the ring. It was such a special moment to be around my family. They loved every single second of it.”

Saraya also wants sequel to ‘Fighting With My Family’ in the future. We will have to wait and see how AEW will book Saraya now that she is the AEW Women’s World Champion.
