WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is one of the biggest and most influential names in the pro wrestling business and has accomplished a lot in the industry. However, Hogan has a lot of skeletons in his closet as well. Now it appears Hogan claimed that he almost died in Puerto Rico.

Hulk Hogan is a legendary figure in the world of professional wrestling, with his name being synonymous with the sport. While he may no longer be as beloved as he once was, there’s no denying just how important Hogan has been to the industry.

While speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, Hulk Hogan talked about his pro wrestling career and all the negative experiences he had during that time. Hogan claimed that he was almost killed in Puerto Rico just four months before Bruiser Brody.

“So I go down to Puerto Rico, and we have the match. We sell out the stadium. Me and Macho Man go back to the room and we go walk in his room, and his room is trashed. All of a sudden, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna go to my room.’ So all of a sudden I go to my room, and, I don’t want to say the guy’s name, but when I opened the door, he’s sitting there, and because he’s still really active, and he’s sitting there with a gun and he said, If you ever come back here, I’m gonna kill you.

I was going back to Tampa. I haul ass to the airport. I got on an Eastern Airlines Flight, the last one out of town and flew to LA. I was supposed to be going home to Tampa. About four months later, Bruiser Brody goes down there has a little argument. The booker calls him into the shower, cuts his throat, and kills him. That’s down there in Puerto Rico.”

Hulk Hogan also believes he should have ended his pro wrestling career around the 20-year mark. Regardless, it is good to know Hulk Hogan did not end up losing his life many years ago.
