Seth Rollins was frozen in fear when Shinsuke Nakamura whispered, “I know about your back” in the middle of the ring on RAW. When Nakamura revealed what he told the Visionary, that opened up a brand-new storyline for the World Heavyweight Champion, one that is based in reality.

Seth Rollins later admitted that his back is not 100%, and he knows that he has the kind of injury that has a limited clock attached to it. After all, Seth Rollins has taken hard bumps for a very long time.

Ringside News reached out to confirm that this storyline with Seth Rollins is real, because it seems to have a lot of authenticity in it. A tenured member of the creative team informed us that Seth Rollins’ current storyline is “semi-real.” It is not as bad as they’re playing it out on television, but he is still banged up.

“The Seth injury is semi-real. He’s banged up, but not as bad as it’s being portrayed. But he is banged up.”

Seth Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at Payback. Nakamura has a tall task ahead of him if he wants to take Rollins’ title, but it also seems like he has a very good backup plan.

If anything, the fact that Damian Priest is waiting in the wings could provide the perfect opportunity for him to strike at Payback. After all, Seth Rollins might need a break as World Heavyweight Champion if his back is getting to him.
